Students take additional general education electives, making this a good option if
you intend to transfer to a Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree program or may attend a
university in the future to earn a bachelor’s degree.

Certificate programs provide students with a set of skills to find a job or
stay current in a profession. Many certificates are designed to build on top of each other

Gain expertise in current programming languages, program design and programming mobile and web applications as well as the essential communications and problem-solving skills needed to excel in this field.
Career Opportunities
Enrolling in the programming option in Information Technology will prepare you for positions in the software industry such as Junior Software Engineer, Mobile App Developer and Front End Developer. You may also have the opportunity to work as a programmer, web support or data support professional for banks, law firms and other businesses or public agencies.
Intensive Education
This high–powered curriculum was designed with input from Puget Sound industry representatives, and teaches the skills needed for successful employment. Classes in the program provide expertise in current programming languages, program design and operating systems, as well as granting students an introduction to computer hardware and essential communications and problem-solving skills.
